Hello and welcome to my profile where I’d like to give you an idea about how and where I work.  I have over 10 years of experience within mental health services from a variety of settings; including the private sector, working on secure units for complex needs, and within the NHS, providing cognitive behavioural interventions for adults with low mood and anxiety disorders.

After completing my undergraduate degree in Applied Psychology and Sociology, I was inspired to channel my combined passions for personal growth and mental health improvement into my work with people who require psychological support.  Therefore, in 2012 I completed a Postgraduate Diploma in low intensity Cognitive Behavioural interventions from University College London, and have since used this approach in my work.  Following this, I decided to undertake further advanced training, and in 2019 joined Tracy at Oxford Talking Therapies for a clinical placement and supervision whilst I completed post graduate training in CBT.  I’m very pleased that I am staying on as an Associate at Oxford Talking Therapies, continuing to provide therapy for adults and adolescents (13 years plus).

I have accumulated knowledge of, and experience working, with a wide array of difficulties, including:

  • Depression and low mood
  • Panic and specific phobias
  • Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder
  • Anxiety, including Generalised Anxiety Disorder, health anxiety and social anxiety
  • Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder
  • Low self-esteem
  • Insomnia

I have also completed training in CBT for Long Term Conditions (such as Multiple Sclerosis, Chronic Fatigue, Fibromyalgia), and worked alongside GPs, nurses and physiotherapists, helping people cope with their physical health problems and improve their life quality through improved psychological health.  I am currently completing a British Psychological Society approved and accredited course that enables me to offer specialist CBT with adolescents, as the prevention of mental health problems in our younger population is of particular interest to me.

My work is always collaborative and flexible, and I tailor treatment to the individual needs and goals of the people I am working with.  As you can see above, my approach is grounded in CBT but is integrated with other evidence based theories and therapies - modalities such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) are also incorporated into and influence my work.  I believe CBT, with its practical nature, help clients to become their own therapist, as they learn new skills and techniques they can use time and time again to deal with existing or any future difficulties.

I work individually with adults (18+) and with adolescents (13+).

I offer therapy in English and Polish in person - from the Wallingford office - as well as remotely via Zoom.

I work ethically adhering to the British Association of Cognitive Psychotherapy (BABCP) code of conduct and receive regular supervision with Tracy whilst I work towards full accreditation with the BABCP.  Like all of us at Oxford Talking Therapies, I endeavour to stay up-to-date with current research, and undertake regular training to add to my knowledge and skills.
